The blog post below is a rough transcription of the video above – so please listen to the video if possible – otherwise, here is what was on the video:
Hey everyone, it's Neha with College Shortcuts. I wanted to do to do this video. I know I'm doing a lot of funny videos about things I've been doing lately.
There's something I put off all the time. Almost every month and I'm sure every mom on this can relate. If anyone gets threaded, if anyone knows what that is like please type in below, "yes", if that's something you do.
Every month I try to wait out for my appointments. Like so long that the expert that I work with here in Ambrosia is always like "Every two weeks Neha? What is your deal?" But I'm always so scared because it's going to be so painful and I don't want to do it.
Since we're talking about the importance of not procrastinating things, I thought I'd tell you about how even in the littlest things in life you know it does happen.
I just got threaded, which was pretty painful because I waited a whole month. It's so exciting I have Rezia here, who I work with. She's so good! We've actually worked together for over 15 years. It's really exciting because she literally makes this all work. Today we actually reshaped, which is a big deal for me because typically I'm always like "Keep it natural. I don't want it to be too cute and whatever." She's really awesome. If you guys are ever in Houston. Pakeeza is where you need to be going.
I just wanted to relate this to the fact that like so many of you don't realize that pain is part of the process of getting to the other side.
I just wanted to do this short video because I always try to avoid the pain, because everyone hates pain, but there's something to be said. Like I totally feel like I look completely different right now. I'm real excited! I'm going to see my mom later tonight. She'll be like "Woe!"
I just wanted to do this quick video because I know that so many of your kids try to avoid pain or try to avoid things that they're scared of or not sure of.
I understand that's part of just the way we are as people.
Beauty usually hurts a little bit, until you get to the next side.
