Getting Into Your No. 1 Choice

College Admissions

The blog post below is a rough transcription of the video above – so please listen to the video if possible – otherwise, here is what was on the video:

Hey guy’s, it’s me here, Neha.

Oh my gosh, I’m so excited! Today I was doing my live master class and so many parents loved it.

They felt like they learned so much and they are so excited about my aimed formula and everything I was teaching in the master class.

If you haven’t signed up for a master class, make sure you go to www.collegeshortcuts.com/dreamcollege. That is were you can register. I have one left for the school year.

One of the biggest things I really love, was I ended up talking with one of our VIP clients where I do help students one-on-one with the college process.

I found out that their child got in for their #1 choice and I couldn’t believe it. I mean it was so exciting.

First of all, it’s barely mid November, they applied maybe a month ago. They already got in their acceptance letters.

I am telling you it is so exciting to see a student get into their top choice.

Literally, I was so excited, I think the mom was kind of excited at how excited I was with her child getting in, which it's kinda funny, but apparently, like you know she didn't think that I would be that excited about her kid getting in. But to me it's like I mean I've been working with this student for so long, we worked with tutoring with them, we helped them with all their classes, and to find out out he got into his top choice, that's just the most exciting part of the process is finding out that they got in.

I can't help but say that the mom was so excited and said, "You know we're waiting on all the others, but to be honest it's more exciting than ever to see that my son has already gotten into not only his top choice, but also the most challenging school."

So that was really awesome you know, to have their child find out they got into Purdue, which is a very challenging college. They saw their academic standing, whether in terms of honors and AP classes, what they did outside of school, but honestly it's the essay.  She said,"Oh my gosh Neha, the essay was unbelievable and it was amazing and I really think it was a major part of why he got in."

For everyone that is stressed out getting into college or stressed out about you kid is getting in, and worried they're kid's not gonna get into a top choice or not have a good future, I’m telling you that your child can work really hard and absolutely get in.

If you guys needing any help with those essays, let us know. I think the biggest challenge, a lot of people facing is how do write the essay and how to make it effective.

I've been talking with a lot of mom in the last two weeks hearing about their stress, feeling like they're at the end with their child, frustrated that deadlines are coming up, and I'm telling you it doesn't have to be like this. It really doesn't.

This can be an enjoyable experience and that's one of the things I love doing with families is making sure that they feel this process is enjoyable and it's exciting, and it's the next step, and I want that for you.

I just wanted to say you know, it totally lit my day up. I mean obviously doing my master class is so much fun, but honestly hearing about a kid getting into a top choice and then being able to text him afterwords and be like "Dude, seriously did you just get into Purdue?" And he's like "Yeah, it was awesome," with a winky face emoji.

I just love stuff like that and I have to share it with you guys because I know sometimes we're overwhelmed with the stress, and the crazy, and the uncertainty, and the frustration that we have with others or things in our life.

The thing that lights me up most is when I know a teenager's life is totally gonna be changed based on the college they're going to, and that I had a little part in that.

I know a lot of people are getting their acceptance letters in. Would love to hear from you guys. See how the college process is going for you if your child is been accepted anywhere please comment below. I'd love to hear and interact with you guys.

Please ask any questions you have too guys. I love doing these videos and I want to interact with you as much as possible.

Go ahead and reach out. Let me know what you think. Let me know your thoughts on this and about your kid getting into their choices. I'd love to hear it have an awesome day and talk to you soon. Bye.
