Our week-long virtual internship summer camps will help your child learn from experts in every field on what they did to get to where they are, how they succeeded, and be able to ask them questions and interact with each of the speakers. In addition, there will be reflection homework and curriculum and homework assignments daily to ensure they are getting further in their career development.

Dr. Subha Airan-Javia, UNC-Chapel Hill, Biology, Associate Professor at University of Pennsylvania, CEO and Founder of TrekIT Health
Subha is a powerhouse doctor and entrepreneur who has had years of experience as a physician. She recently launched TrekIT health with a team at UPenn, and is already using her software that takes electronic medical records and builds it into an app for quick referencing for doctors and utilizing it in COVID-19 emergency situations. She will teach students about medicine, technology, and what it takes to succeed in the medical field.
Dr. Bimal Patel, University of Texas Austin, Biology, Optometrist, Political Activist
Bimal specializes in primary care and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases. Through his experience at one of the country’s top refractive surgery centers, Dr. Patel has honed his skills in LASIK management and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Patel received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas-Austin and his Doctor of Optometry from the University Of Houston College Of Optometry, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. While in school, he was President of the Student Texas Optometry Association (TOA) and currently serves on the New Grad Task Force for the TOA. He completed a specialty externship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA and private practice in Austin, TX. He will be teaching students the power of getting involved in the community, as he ran for Congress, and the importance of medicine and following your passion.
Dr. Luv Javia, UNC-Chapel Hill, School of Medicine, UPenn Internship and Residency in Surgery, and ENT Surgeon
Luv is a pediatric ENT surgeon from UPenn who also consults with students in helping them in their medical school applications and knows what it takes to stand out. He will speak to students about surgery and medical opportunities and the commitment it takes to get into specialized fields. He is a specialized surgeon in one of the most prestigious fields of pediatric ENT surgery.
Dr. Romie Mushtaq, USC, University of Michigan, neurologist, mindfulness teacher
Dr. Romila “Romie” Mushtaq, M.D., ABIHM, is a neurologist, mindfulness teacher, sought out keynote speaker, and powerhouse. She is the first Chief Wellness Officer for a corporation of 5,000+ employees in the United States (Evolution Hospitality), integrative medicine specialist, and mindfulness expert who has impacted over 1.1 million lives across the world through her keynotes and corporate workshops on mindfulness and brain health. From a young age, she showed all the signs of entering a STEM career–growing up with a tribe of brothers, playing with toy trucks and building blocks over Barbie dolls, and being captain of the speech and debate team for three years. At a time when less than 5% of neuroscientists were women, Dr. Romie worked her way up in a male-dominated industry and built her career as a neurologist, neurophysiologist, and epilepsy specialist. She will discuss her career, wellness, and how to develop your brand as a doctor and business.
Dr. Shailesh Gupta, University of Miami, Biology, Assistant Professor and Retina Faculty, University of Florida, Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon
Dr. Shailesh Gupta is a Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon specializing in diseases of the retina and vitreous. He brings extensive experience in the treatment of a wide variety of retina disorders, including age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. As one of the top surgeons in the country, leading multiple research projects, entrepreneur, and passionate about the future of medicine, he will be teaching students about medical fields and how the future of medicine will be over the next 100 years.
